Welcome to our homes

A rock-solid, supportive community presence, devoted to giving adults with special needs a place to proudly call home.

Our
Story

Since the Special Children's Center first opened in 1996, we've shared an incredible journey with our special needs community. As we watched our children grow into young adults, we knew their next chapter needed the same love and care they've always known — just adapted for a new stage of growth and independence.

This vision led us to open our first group home in 2010. Today, we operate six vibrant kosher homes throughout Lakewood. Our dedicated staff supports over 20 residents as they thrive in their daily lives.  Our homes provide a warm welcome to families for relaxed, meaningful visits with their loved ones.

Our Mission

To provide adults with special needs the professional support they need to live independently, while helping families nurture loving and meaningful relationships with their children.

When your adult child moves into our home, something beautiful happens:

They flourish with newfound independence through engaging activities and meaningful programs, while families rediscover the simple joy of being parents, siblings, and loved ones during regular visits to our warm, welcoming homes.
